Standard Music Library ESL-126

I gotta say that this album has a pretty nice lineup. But in no way whatsoever is this on my top 50 of library record recordings. In fact, over half of the album is pretty corny. But...it does have a few gems on it. Especially songs like Mike Vickers "Mole Hill & Sven Libaek's "Bush Wind"(one of my favorite Sven tracks). Not trying to rag on it...but not every track is as good as the sound clips below...

how about a preview?

  1. I find these years for Standard a lot more interesting than what I have heard from them in the later 70s, all of which is instantly forgettable, clunky, disco beat driven pabulum.

  2. Nice One, i hadnt heard this one before, always good to listen to more from the vaults of the standard music library, i have a whole bunch of these in the crates including , 12 instrumental hits, with an intereting cover of david bowies space oddity lol, ,

  3. could you please reupload to another file host? this is the message i geet from rapidshare...

  7. Thanks for your generousity man.
    Libaek tracks 're SOME treat.

  8. hello! Does anyone have a Standard Music Library ESL121 Period / Pastoral / Moog / Dramatic ..?
Mike Vickers - Visitation, this is the track I am looking for a long time. Anyone could help?

  9. Since 1977 for 1989 there was a excellent popular-science tv program named "Sonda" in Polish TV. It began with several interesting scenes (cell division, rocket engine start, supernova explosion, etc.) where the background were Mike Vickers "Visitation" track. You can find this track here http://chomikuj.pl/Bartholomew/Nostalgia/RTV/Reminiscencje in the original slightly longer than used in TVP version. I was looking for this music for a long time. Never found whole material (Standard Music Library ESL121 Period/Pastoral/Moog/Dramatic) but finally found this track in acceptable quality.

  10. Having students rewrite the rules in their own words is a great idea that I had never thought of. I will definitely give it a try!
