The latest and the greatest!

What good out there? Yep, it's been quite a while. Unfortunately, that seems to be my fashion. A lot has been going on lately. Not enough to have an excuse of not updating my blog though. On this post I wanted to highlight a few things funky I have been digging lately. For starters, I finally got a copy of a very special record I have been hunting for years. It's one of the funkiest and well recorded library LP's by the infamous RKM musicians. It's called Beat-Action. At times it reminds me of Stefano Torossi's "Feelings" LP. It's sharp, it's fluent, it's completely bananas. ***Highly Reccomended*** So just DL that link before it gets deaded. As you may know, once they are gone, they are gone.

Lil Dave' & Personify - Gotcha Covered

To start it off next we have a very nice mix by Lil' Dave & Personify out of my new favorite city, Philadelphia. This is not only a beast when it comes to soul and funk music, but it's also programmed and recorded so well!.This to me is crucial when making any kind mixtape, or album for that matter. It's all about the production! But hey, enough of my waffle...just peep the mix!

RSI - Six Ton Armor Mixtape

Not only is RSI aka Mr. Ricky Regretti an amazing artist, he also tends to dabble in music production, library style arrangements, and vintage production equipment. To say that he dabbles is actually an understatement. Honestly, he's really just an animal when it comes to recording. This mix is chocked full of 70's psych, filthy drum patterns, and beats that'll make you think twice. So take some time to check this out, and kill that 5:00 traffic vibe.
